Fulbright

Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational and cultural exchange program.

In partnership with 160 countries worldwide, Fulbright provides opportunities for U.S. citizens to study, teach, or conduct research abroad while bringing visiting scholars from around the world to the United States with the goal of increasing mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and people of other countries.

Fulbright Scholar Program

The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers over 800 awards to 135+ countries annually to U.S. citizens to go abroad. There are a variety of award types including Scholar, Distinguished Scholar, Postdoctoral, and International Education Administrator Awards.

UT Dallas is proud to be the home to numerous U.S. Fulbright Scholar Alumni, whose research experiences derive from disciplines across the university. As part of UT Dallas’s strategic plan to engage globally, the International Center encourages the UT Dallas community to learn more about the Fulbright U.S. Scholar program and consider applying.

Fulbright Student Program

Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program

The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program awards roughly 800 faculty and professionals from around the world for advanced research and university lecturing in the United States. Those who are interested in applying to the Visiting Fulbright Scholar Program should contact their country’s Fulbright commission or the public affairs section of the U.S. embassy.
